Job Title: Enrollment Technician Department: NFR Administration
Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt Salary Scale: GS 3-4 (2018 RUS) $26,587 - $38,798 Annually
Reports To: Chief Administrative Officer
The Enrollment Technician position, under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, is responsible for handling the enrollment process for Tribal citizens, including change of addresses and contact information updates. The Technician generates updated mailing lists and computer related reports, and function as liaison and support for the Enrollment Committee.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Type business correspondence to citizens and applicants.
Create monthly reports, minutes, produce forms, and draft procedures.
Send correspondence for the Enrollment Committee.
Track and log check reissuance requests.
Keep track of timelines to comply with the Enrollment Statute, tracking how, where and to whom correspondence has been sent and proof of delivery. Process and track enrollment statute actions and make contact with Tribal Council as needed.
Maintain and communicate with citizens pertaining to the return mail list for RSTF. Investigate checks not received and maintain citizens check hold list.
Apply consistency to all statutes and uphold confidentiality in all situations.
Process enrollment verifications for Tribal Citizens and Indian Agencies.
Maintain and update Tribal Roll data and obtain signatures.
Process incoming applications by logging, date stamping, sending acknowledgement letters and copies of documents.
Generate computer related reports from enrollment database.
Help at Tribal functions as needed.
Provide information for ICWA representative upon request.
Accurately record office information for future reference.
Perform other NFR related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Advanced business correspondence/report writing.
Perform in a manner which positively impacts the image and credibility of the North Fork Rancheria and maintain effective communication with all segments of society.
Adhere to the confidentiality and code of conduct policies. Maintain objectivity in all business and confidential matters.
Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor while operating as a “team player.”
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Excellent written and oral communications skills required.
Knowledge of modern office practices, methods, procedures and use of Microsoft Office software.
Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Some knowledge of graphic and database software is preferred.
Two (2) years of directly related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of Education and Experience.
A High School Diploma or GED is required
One year advanced training in business administration or related skills is preferred.
